The second instalment of the Cinnamon Future of Tourism Summit was held on 26 September 2017 as a thought leadership initiative by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts in lieu of world tourism day. The conference deliberated on the best practices around the world on the themes of Innovation, Technology and Authenticity which focused on practical solutions to the evolving challenges of the hospitality and tourism industry. The event was addressed by an eminent panel of international speakers such as Executive Editor Travel- CNN, Brekke Fletcher who delivered the keynote address on the theme ‘Understanding Tomorrow’s Traveller’, Dr. Sanjay Nadkarni- Director of Research & Innovation at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, Jereon Gulickx- a well-travelled hospitality professional with 20+ years’ experience within the hotel & spa segment and Roy Graff-Managing Director of Dragon Trail. The event was attended by over 400 industry participants, and was also graced and endorsed by Honourable Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
